HSC and equivalent exams start today
The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent exams are starting today. The written exam will start on Thursday (June 26) at 10 am with the Bangla First Paper exam and will continue till August 10. The practical exam will be held between August 11 and 21.
This time, a total of 12 lakh 51 thousand 111 students, including regular and irregular, are appearing for the nine General Education Boards, Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board and Bangladesh Technical Education Board. This time, the total number of students has decreased by more than 81 thousand compared to last time.
In addition, more than four and a half lakh students who passed the SSC and equivalent exams two years ago and registered for admission to higher secondary schools are not appearing for the exam this time. This time, out of the total number of students, more than 1 lakh 55 thousand are HSC exam candidates under the nine General Education Boards.
More than 86 thousand are Alim exam candidates under the Madrasa Education Board. The total number of students under the Technical Education Board is more than 1 lakh 9 thousand. These exams will be held at 2,797 centers across the country.
