If there is a plan to undermine BNP, everyone is ready to prevent it: Faruk
Noting that the trial of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has begun, BNP Chairperson’s advisor Zainul Abdin Faruk said, if there is a plan to undermine BNP in the meantime, everyone is ready to prevent it.
He said these things at an event in the capital on Monday (June 2).
The interim government should have held national elections within three months, why has it been nine and a half months? Why are seniors having to give statements about the elections, Zainul Abdin Faruk asked.
Those who were in the previous caretaker government held elections within three months. But this government is passing month after month, why is it still not able to give the right time, he also asked.
Referring to the interim government, the BNP leader said, “They are defaming a party like ours. There is a calculation of who is looting in nine and a half months. Calculate how many parties want elections.” Those who support another political party while sitting in the government should be removed from the advisory council. Regarding the corridor and port, he further said that the elected government will decide whether to provide the corridor and port or not.
