Internet blackout program will not be there: Cultural Advisor

The government has canceled the ‘Internet Blackout’ program announced as part of the July ‘Revival’ programs, Cultural Advisor Mustafa Sarwar Farooqui has said. He gave this information in a post on his verified Facebook ID on Thursday (July 3). Mustafa Sarwar Farooqui wrote in the post, “We had some hesitation from the beginning about a program of the July Commemoration Program. We have excluded and added a single program several times. Many of us thought that ‘one minute internet blackout’ was probably not such a good idea.”

He wrote in the post, “Later, after various discussions, the program was included again. When a big program and a big team work together, sometimes such mistakes remain hidden from view. However, we are sincerely grateful for your opinions on the ‘Internet Blackout’ program.” The cultural advisor further wrote, “For your information, we have decided in a quick meeting among ourselves – there will be no one-minute symbolic internet blackout program. Revised slides are being shared. Other than that, all programs remain unchanged. Let’s reconnect, regroup and reignite the Very July Fire.”
