Israeli massacre continues in Gaza, 37 more killed

The massacre continues in the besieged Palestinian territory of Gaza. At least 37 more Palestinians have been killed in the latest Israeli attacks. As a result, the total number of deaths in the valley has exceeded 54,400.

The Anadolu news agency reported this information in a report on Sunday (June 1).

It said that the total number of deaths in the territory since October 2023 due to Israel’s genocidal aggression has reached 54,418.

A ministry statement said that 136 more people were injured in Israeli attacks in the past 24 hours. As a result, the total number of injured since the beginning of the conflict has increased to 124,190.

The statement also said that many people are still lying under the rubble and on the streets, but rescuers have not been able to reach them.

According to the Health Ministry, 4,149 Palestinians have been killed and 12,149 others injured in the renewed Israeli airstrikes on Gaza since March 18. Israel’s brutal attack has broken the ceasefire agreement that came into effect in January this year.

Earlier, in November last year, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Israel has also faced a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its invasion of the besieged territory. Yet their brutality has not stopped. There is a storm of condemnation worldwide.

Incidentally, after a long 15-month military campaign, Israel agreed to a ceasefire in Gaza on January 19 under pressure from the United States and the international community. After that, Gaza was more or less at peace for about two months. But Israel resumed airstrikes in Gaza in the third week of March, amid disagreements with Hamas over the withdrawal of troops from Gaza.
