Many organizations, including Microsoft, are helping Israel in its massacre in Gaza

US companies Microsoft, Alphabet, and Amazon are helping Israel in the ongoing massacre in Gaza. The UN Special Envoy for the besieged Gaza and the occupied West Bank, Francesca Albanese, has revealed this information in a new report. According to Al Jazeera, Francesca Albanese has named many companies in the report that are helping Israel in the displacement of the Palestinian people and the ongoing massacre in Gaza. The report is scheduled to be presented in Geneva. It directly names 48 companies, including US-based Microsoft, Google’s parent company Alphabet, and Amazon. A database of more than 1,000 corporate entities has been created as part of this investigation.

The report says that Israel’s perpetual occupation has become a testing ground for arms manufacturers and big tech companies. These big companies are no longer just tied to Israel’s occupation, but have become part of the economic fabric of genocide. Israel has strengthened its discriminatory system by helping to collect, store and use biometric data from Palestinians for government purposes. Microsoft, Alphabet and Amazon have given Israel near-full government access to their cloud and artificial intelligence-based technologies. In addition, US-based software company Palancar Technologies has increased its technical support to the Israeli military since the start of the war in Gaza in October 2023. The report calls Israel’s occupation an example of “colonial apartheid capitalism”, where corporate entities profit from illegal occupation. Since the start of Israel’s indiscriminate attack on Gaza on 7 October 2023, the companies involved in this economy have become even more deeply involved.

The report also states that corporate entities have a responsibility to refrain from human rights violations, whether directly or through their business relationships. Companies must verify whether there is a risk of human rights violations in their supply chains. Failure to do so could result in criminal liability. The report calls on companies to immediately divest from activities linked to Israel’s illegal occupation. In 2024, Albanese said in a special report that there is a logical basis for Israel’s actions in Gaza to amount to genocide. Because this genocide has become profitable for many. Italy’s Leonardo SpA is listed as one of the largest suppliers to Israel’s military sector, and Japan’s FANUC Corporation supplies robotic equipment to manufacture weapons.
