Missile attack on Israel again, Defense Minister vows revenge

Military attacks have once again spread panic in Israel. When warning sirens sounded in Jerusalem on Tuesday (July 1), ordinary Israelis started running for safe shelter. The news was confirmed by Arab News and Times of Israel. The IDF said that the missile was launched from Yemen. They claimed to have successfully shot it down.

Yemen’s armed group Houthi has claimed responsibility for the attack. The group has been regularly launching missile attacks targeting Israeli territory in protest of the aggression on Gaza. The IDF claims to have repelled most of them. In response, Israel has launched several attacks on Yemeni territory. On the other hand, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz has vowed to take revenge against the Iran-backed Houthis in this incident.

He said Yemen would suffer the same fate as Tehran. He also warned that anyone who raises a hand against Israel would have that hand cut off. Katz made the remarks in a statement referring to the 12-day attack on Iran’s nuclear and missile programs last month. At the time, the Israeli minister also threatened a naval and air blockade if attacks on Israel continued.
