Motorcyclist killed in Bhanga Expressway hit by car
A young man named Imran Sheikh (29), a motorcyclist, was killed after being hit by an unknown vehicle in Bhanga, Faridpur.
The accident occurred around 9:30 am on Sunday (June 15) in the Bamankanda area of the Dhaka-Bhanga Expressway upazila.
The deceased Imran Sheikh is the son of Shukur Ali of Chumurdi village in Bhanga upazila.
Sub-Inspector (SI) of Shibchar Highway Police Station Abdus Salam said that Imran Sheikh was coming to his home in Bhanga from Dhaka on a motorcycle. When he reached the Bamankanda area of the expressway, an unknown vehicle hit him from behind. As a result, he crashed his motorcycle into the railing on the side of the road. He died on the spot.
He also said that after receiving information from 999, the body was recovered from the scene and brought to Shibchar Highway Police Station. The family members have been informed that the body will be handed over to the family members after the completion of the legal process. The case is under process.
