No kind of mob justice will be tolerated: DMP Commissioner
No kind of mob justice will be tolerated, cases will be filed and the guilty will be brought under the law, said DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md. Sajjat Ali.
He said this in response to questions from journalists after a program at the DMP headquarters today (June 24). He also mentioned that strict action will be taken if any police member is found negligent in controlling the mob.
The DMP Commissioner further said that a case has been filed in the incident that occurred at the house of the former Chief Election Commissioner and one person has been arrested.
On the other hand, stating that road blockades cannot be used to enforce demands, the DMP Commissioner said that discussions will be held with representatives of various political parties so that no one can create public suffering by blocking roads in the metropolis in the name of movement. At this time, he also said that strict action will be taken against extortionists.
