Online GD service launched in 9 police stations of Jessore
Jessore Correspondent: As part of the digitalization and simplification of police services, online GD (General Diary) service has been launched in 9 police stations of Jessore. Superintendent of Police Rawnak Jahan formally inaugurated the program at the Kotwali Model Police Station of the district on Sunday (July 20) night. After inaugurating the service, Superintendent of Police Rawnak Jahan told reporters, “Bangladesh Police is always committed to delivering police services to the doorsteps of the people very quickly and easily. This program is being launched to deliver services to the doorsteps of the people. This will increase people’s trust in the police. He also said that anyone can do online GD through apps from home. Earlier, only lost GD could be done. Now people can do online GD for a total of 29 unsolvable crimes, including information about missing persons. This app has all the information. This will allow people to file GDs easily, which will reduce suffering.’ The concerned said that earlier, only GDs related to loss and receipt could be filed online, but now all types of GDs can be filed from home without having to physically appear at the police station. Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) Abul Bashar, Additional Superintendent of Police (Circle A) Ahsan Habib, OC of Jessore Kotwali Model Police Station Abul Hasnat, OC Investigation Kazi Babul and others were present at the time.
