Out on bail, terrorist activities resume, ‘Tunda Babu’ arrested again

Rab has arrested Md. Babu Khan alias Tunda Babu, one of the main associates of the ‘Kobjikata Group’ of the capital’s Mohammadpur. RAB-2’s Additional DIG Khalidul Haque Howlader gave this information at a press conference held at the RAB Media Center in Karwan Bazar in the capital on Thursday (July 3) afternoon. He said that after getting bail, he got involved in terrorism, drug trafficking and running a juvenile gang again. He was arrested from Narail district.

RAB says that after the arrest of Anwar, the head of the Kobjikata Group, and his main associate Tunda Babu, terrorism including robbery decreased in the area for a few days. After getting bail, Babu started the same activities again. Incidentally, on June 29, Tunda Babu and his associates tried to kill drug dealer Raju by hacking him to death indiscriminately due to previous enmity over drug trafficking in the Adabor police station area. He was arrested again in connection with the case related to this incident. There are 10 cases against him in various police stations.
