Pakistan Armed Forces Ready to Counter Indian Aggression: Shehbaz

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to counter any Indian aggression.

He made this comment in a meeting with a delegation led by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. This information was reported in a report by Pakistani media ARY News on Monday (May 5).

Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully prepared to counter any Indian aggression. At the same time, the entire nation is united behind the army. Our brave army is always ready to confront the enemy. Pakistan wants peace and regional stability, but also has the ability to respond strongly to protect the country’s sovereignty.

He also said that Pakistan has expressed concern over the Pahalgam attack and demanded an independent and impartial investigation.

Shehbaz also called the aggressive steps taken by India in the wake of the incident “sad”. He also strongly rejected India’s ‘illegal attempt’ to implicate Pakistan in the attack.

Shehbaz said India’s unilateral and illegal suspension of the Indus Water Treaty is being seen as ‘water aggression’, which is a ‘red line’ for Pakistan. Pakistan will not accept this step under any circumstances.

He said Pakistan is making international diplomatic efforts to expose India’s aggression before the world. Meetings have already been held with ambassadors of various countries and Pakistan’s position has been explained.

He also said Pakistan will raise the issue in the UN Security Council so that India’s ‘true face’ and ‘conspiracy’ are exposed before the world.
