Parents killed drug-addicted son, stuffed his body in a sack and dumped it in the drain, police say

Unable to bear the physical and mental torture one after another, the father killed his only drug-addicted son, stuffed him in a sack and dumped it in the drain. The mother supported the father in this incident.

The deceased Joni’s father Karuna Sarkar and mother Asita Rani Sarkar have described the murder of garment worker Joni in Fatulla, Narayanganj.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Fatulla Model Police Station Shariful Islam gave this information at a press conference at his office on Thursday (June 19) afternoon.

Narayanganj Additional Superintendent of Police (‘K’ Circle) Hasinuzzaman told the gathering that Karuna Sarkar was living in a rented house at the Dulal Police Station in Lal Kha Shihachar area of ​​Fatulla with his wife Asita Rani Sarkar, only son Joni Sarkar and two daughters. He worked as a night watchman at Khan Saheb Osman Ali Cricket Stadium in Fatullah. His son Johnny Sarkar became addicted to drugs after hanging out with local drug addicts and scoundrels. Johnny often beat his parents and tortured them in various ways for drug money. His father Karuna Sarkar and mother Asita Rani Sarkar became fed up with the increasing level of torture and abuse of their drug addict son.

The district police officer also said that on the night of June 16, Johnny also beat his parents and mother for drug money. Then, when he fell asleep after eating at night, his father Karuna Sarkar hit Johnny on the head and face with a bread-making balloon. At one point, when Johnny’s sleeping body became unconscious, with the help of his mother, Karuna Sarkar tied his hands and feet, stuffed him in a plastic bag, threw him into a drain on the side of the road at night, and returned home. The next day, on the morning of June 17, the Fatullah police recovered Johnny’s body from the drain in a bag.

Karuna Sarkar, the father of the deceased Joni, filed a murder case with Fatullah Police Station accusing unknown persons. However, the investigation of the case and the observation of CCTV camera video footage revealed this sensational mystery of the murder.

Later, when the police arrested the father and mother of the deceased Joni in this case on Wednesday (June 18) night, they confessed to killing their two sons and gave a detailed account of it during interrogation.

Fatullah Model Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Anwar Hossain and Sub-Inspector (SI) Shamim were also present at the press conference.
