Patwari questions retention of those involved in vote rigging
The NCP has expressed concern over the fact that EC officials involved in vote rigging in several past elections are still in office. At the same time, they are giving the EC a chance to make corrections, said the party’s chief coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary. On Sunday (August 3) afternoon, the party submitted the necessary documents on the last day of their registration application at the Election House. Finally, they made this statement after a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin. Stating that the EC is playing a spineless role during this time, the party’s chief coordinator said that they expect the commission to come up with the party’s name through its work and organize the elections. They also said that several issues including expatriate voting and awareness on the use of AI technology in elections were discussed at the meeting. The leaders and activists said that the NCP has completed the submission of the necessary documents for the party registration application. They are hopeful that the EC will move forward to the next stage to register the party.
