People will choose alternatives if they do not want to remain as chief advisor: Salahuddin Ahmed
People will choose alternatives if they do not want Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus to remain as chief advisor, said BNP standing committee member Salahuddin Ahmed.
He made this comment while talking to media personnel on Friday (May 23).
BNP standing committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said, ‘If Dr. Yunus wants to resign, it can be his personal decision. We (BNP) have never demanded his resignation.’
He also said, ‘No one is indispensable in this world. However, we hope that he, as a world-renowned personality, will understand the importance of the matter. We want him to announce an electoral roadmap to hold national elections by December as per the expectations of the nation.’
At this time, he welcomed the army chief’s statement on the elections, corridors and the situation in the country.
This BNP standing committee member complained that BNP did not get time to meet Dr. Yunus several times recently. BNP will wait a few more days for the election roadmap and then finalize what to do on the issue of cooperation with the government.
