Protest marches and rallies in Vienna demanding a ceasefire in Gaza

A protest march and rallies have been held in Vienna, the capital of Austria, to express solidarity with the Palestinians and against the Israeli aggression in Gaza. The Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera confirmed this information in a report on Sunday (June 29). A video shared on social media shows hundreds of people taking to the streets on Saturday, waving Palestinian flags and carrying various banners. They also chanted slogans like “We want a ceasefire now.”

A rally was held after the protest march. The country’s citizens spoke there. Among them was Yasmin Akar, who set off on a ship with Greta Thunberg to Gaza earlier this month to provide aid. However, the Israeli army detained them on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and sent them back to their country.
