Rain-waterlogging in several districts of the country, locals suffer
As the monsoon winds are active, it is raining in various districts of the country. Waterlogging has occurred in some places. The common people of these areas are suffering due to this. Due to continuous rain, the main roads of Feni city are submerged in water. This is disrupting traffic. In addition, various areas including Daktar Para, Ukil Para, Shanti Company Road, Nazir Road are submerged. Water has also entered houses and shops in some places. Due to this, the residents are suffering. In the morning, school and college students and office-going people are suffering. According to the Meteorological Office, 347 millimeters of rainfall was recorded in Feni on Tuesday (July 8). Which is the highest of this season. Meanwhile, incessant rain in Noakhali has submerged almost all the roads and alleys of the city. Water has entered houses in many areas. Residents are in extreme suffering. The low-lying areas including Hatiyar Nijhum Dwip and Dhalchar were flooded with excess tidal water. Meanwhile, heavy rain has caused waterlogging in various areas of Patuakhali city. The Meteorological Office has recorded 232 millimeters of rain in the area in 24 hours. This rainfall was recorded till 12 noon. Mahbuba Sukhti, in-charge of Patuakhali Meteorological Office, confirmed this information. Due to continuous rain, waterlogging has occurred in various areas including Jubilee School Road, the road in front of the municipality, Sabujbag, Gulbag, Arambagh and other low-lying areas of the city. People of different classes including hard-working laborers have suffered due to the continuous rain. In addition, the Meteorological Department has reported that it is raining in most parts of the country including Chittagong and Barisal divisions as well as Sylhet, Khulna and Dhaka. All sea ports have been asked to display local warning signal number three.
