Salman and several others arrested in new case

Former Prime Minister’s advisor Salman F Rahman has been shown arrested again in the case of attempted murder of Sohel Rana in the anti-discrimination student movement. The Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate issued the order on Wednesday (July 2).

Former Law Minister Anisul Haque and Dipu Monik have also been shown arrested in the case filed by Mohammadpur Police Station. In addition, the judge ordered the arrest of 4 people, including former Senior Information Secretary NM Ziaul Alam, in cases filed by various police stations. The state’s lawyer said that they have been shown arrested as the alleged accused in the July murder case. Meanwhile, the defense lawyer alleged that they are being made accused in the case without any specific evidence.
