The National Consensus Commission meeting is starting again today after a two-day break

The National Consensus Commission is holding thematic discussions with political parties in the second phase with the aim of reforming various sectors of the state. The reform proposals on which consensus was not reached in the first phase are being discussed in this phase.

The meeting will begin at 10:30 am today, Wednesday (June 25) at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital after a two-day break. In the five days of the second phase, the commission discussed 9 issues with the political parties. The parties agreed on two of the 9 issues discussed. However, they could not reach consensus in most cases.

The commission is prepared to discuss a total of 20 issues with the parties in this phase to establish consensus. The commission wants to add more issues if necessary, depending on the progress in the discussions. In addition, the commission aims to prepare a national charter by next July based on the consensus of the political parties.
