On Monday (May 5), at around 4:30 pm, two people tried to steal motorcycles from the Darush Shefa Private Hospital area of ​​Kaliganj town in Jhenaidah. At that time, special keys made for stealing two motorcycles were recovered from them.

The members of the motorcycle thief gang are Russell Hossain, son of Fetu Mia of Boro Garila village in Jhenaidah Sadar upazila, and Mizan Hossain, son of Abdur Rashid of the same village. Russell Hossain is a class 12 student of Government Mahtab Uddin College in Kaliganj and Mizan works as a mason.

According to local sources, two Darush Shefas broke the lock of a red Apache motorcycle behind the private hospital on Monday afternoon. But the locals got suspicious after seeing the hydraulic lock of the motorcycle broken and caught them and tied the two thieves with ropes and cut their hair. Later, they handed them over to the police and took them to the police station.

Confirming the matter, the owner of the motorcycle, Ariful Islam, a teacher at Government Bhushan Secondary School, said that he was working next to the motorcycle. He came and saw that the lock of the motorcycle was broken. Then he saw that the locals had caught the two thieves.

When asked about this, Shahidul Islam Howlader, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kaliganj Police Station, said that the locals caught the two thieves and handed them over to the police. He also said that legal action will be taken against them.
