Travis Head tests positive for COVID-19

The start of this decade was marked by a pandemic. Since the coronavirus emerged in Wuhan, China in December 2019, more than 7 million people have been confirmed to have died in the pandemic. Travis Head, the opener for IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad, has been identified as COVID-19 positive. The Aussie star has been confirmed to be infected with the virus at a time when the number of COVID-19 cases is rising again worldwide.

Head’s return to India from Australia to join Sunrisers Hyderabad has been delayed after he tested positive for the coronavirus. It has been confirmed that he will not play in the match against Lucknow Supergiant.

Hyderabad head coach Daniel Vettori confirmed Head’s COVID-19 test, saying, “He is coming tomorrow morning; he is coming late. He has actually tested positive for COVID-19, so he cannot travel.”
