Travis Head tests positive for COVID-19
The start of this decade was marked by a pandemic. Since the coronavirus emerged in Wuhan, China in December 2019, more than 7 million people have been confirmed to have died in the pandemic. However, the actual death toll is much higher. Although the COVID-19 pandemic has subsided, there are still occasional reports of coronavirus infections in various parts of the world. This time, there have been reports of coronavirus attacks in the ongoing IPL. Australia’s explosive batter Travis Head has been infected with the virus.
Travis Head, the opener for IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad, has been identified as COVID-19 positive. This is the third time he has been identified as positive after Head was first confirmed to be infected with the virus in 2021. The Aussie star has been confirmed to be infected with the virus at a time when the number of COVID-19 cases is rising again worldwide.
Head’s return to India from Australia to join Sunrisers Hyderabad has been delayed after he tested positive for the coronavirus. It has been confirmed that he will not play in the match against Lucknow Supergiant.
Hyderabad head coach Daniel Vettori confirmed Head’s COVID-19 test, saying, “He is coming tomorrow morning; he is coming late. He has actually tested positive for COVID-19, so he cannot travel.”
