Truck runs over people standing in Uttara, 3 killed

Three people standing on the road were killed after a reckless truck ran over them at Azampur intersection in Uttara in the capital. The accident occurred at around 3 am on Saturday (June 28). Uttara East Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Golam Mostafa confirmed the incident.

He said that two men died on the spot when a truck ran over people standing on the road at Azampur intersection. Another man died after being taken to the hospital in his injured condition. The OC also said that efforts are underway to find out the names and addresses of the deceased. The deadly truck has been seized. The bodies of the deceased have been kept at the Shaheed Suhrawardy Hospital morgue for autopsy.
