    Two more die of dengue

    Two people have died of dengue, a mosquito-borne disease, in the last 24 hours. In addition, 195 more people have been admitted to hospitals with dengue fever during this period. This information was given in a report sent by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Thursday (June 26). Among the two who died in the last 24 hours, a teenager (14) and a woman (48).

    The report said that from 8 am on Wednesday to 8 am on Thursday, the highest number of dengue patients, 74, were admitted to hospitals in Barisal. In addition, 60 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka Metropolitan City (excluding City Corporation), 30 in Dhaka Division, 18 in Rajshahi Division, 8 in Chittagong Division, 3 in Sylhet Division and two in Mymensingh Division. With this, 38 people have died of dengue so far this year. Of the deaths, 20 were men and 18 were women. 9,065 people have been infected.
