US sends 39 Bangladeshis back on US military plane
The US administration has sent 39 Bangladeshis back to the country on charges of staying in the United States illegally. Immigration procedures for the returning passengers are still ongoing. The Bangladeshis landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on the country’s military plane C-17 at 6:45 am on Saturday (August 2). A message from the Consular and Welfare Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday said that 61 Bangladeshis are being sent back on a US military plane. However, 39 Bangladeshis have arrived in Bangladesh. Earlier, the country sent back 118 more Bangladeshi citizens at different times. Foreign Ministry sources said that since the administration of US President Donald Trump took office, citizens of various countries caught illegally in the country are being sent back to their respective countries. In view of this, some people are also having to return to Bangladesh every month.
