    Where is Khamenei now?

There is a haze surrounding the whereabouts of Iran’s supreme religious leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. He has not been seen in public for the past week. For this reason, everyone from ordinary Iranians to top officials are wondering – is Khamenei healthy? There are concerns and various questions among the people of the country regarding the recent absence of Iran’s supreme religious leader. Farnaz Fasihi has tried to find answers to these. A report written by him on this subject was published by the American media outlet The New York Times on Wednesday (June 25).

Even after the Iran-Israel ceasefire came into effect, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is not present on social media. Various media outlets claim that Khamenei took refuge in a bunker after the Israeli attack began. He regularly posts on the social handle X along with video messages from a secret location. The New York Times reported that his sudden inactivity has spread concern among Iranians. Along with the general public, politicians are also concerned about the absence of the supreme leader.

An Iranian state television presenter directly raised the issue. Last Tuesday (June 24), the presenter told a top official in Khamenei’s office – People are very worried about the Supreme Leader. What is his condition, can you tell me? Such questions are now circulating everywhere in Iran. Starting from the political arena to the field, many are asking, how is Ayatollah Ali Khamenei doing? Although the official, Mehdi Fazaeli, did not give a direct answer to this.

However, he said in a confident tone – those who are in charge of protecting the Supreme Leader are doing their duty well. God willing, we will celebrate the victory with him (Khamenei).
